The client came to me with a problem: he was creating a sister-company to his brother's company and wanted to have a very similar logo. The only problem was that the designer for the original logo was long gone and with him, his source files.
I took the only sample of the logo we had and using Adobe Illustrator, copied the photo in the center, tracing it, and emulated the type-face and treatment for the new name.
