06302004 Entry: "NPR"



i listen to NPR entirely too much. but i must say that most of the time on a drive from Point A to Point B, it's the most interesting thing to listen to. regular, ClearChannel radio isn't bad. but i get tired of car, egg donation, national sweepstakes, and mattress commercials. today on NPR, they read an abridged version of this article: Ad Report Card: Ads That Make You Go Ew.

hotdog companies need not remind us that hotdogs are phallic. this is something that goes without saying. but must they show some large guy biting into one while groaning about its delcious "girthy"-ness?

i guess to lick the hotdog would have been out of the question?

I so agree. I'm usually rarely offended, but I don't quite want to see any man salivating over the girthy-ness of any phallic shaped food product! Much like not wanting to see any woman get off whilst washing her hair with orgasmic shampoo :)

PS: I know you don't know me....I found your blog in a random search one evening last year, and have been reading it occasionally since then. I'm not the invasive sort, not a stalker, just an occasional reader. Nice to meet you.
