my brain hurts. today was one of those 12-hour work days. at work by 8 a.m., home after 8 p.m.
Bossman bought me breakfast this morning so that he could get me into neutral territory to tell me that he is leaving his job here and moving to Arizona. i don't think the fact that he is leaving has sunk in; i don't have time to enjoy it; i am too busy. however, i knew that something was up since he has been so spacey this past month.
yes, spacier than normal.
so that's that. his last day is June 5. i am going on vacation next Wednesday until June 1. so...if i count it up...that makes only six more days with him as my boss. the prospect floors me.
what does this mean for me? well, it likely means that i will be promoted. or, as it is in the University arena, i will be eligible to apply for his job. the position, however, will likely change to encompass what i do in creative aspects.
i'm too tired to be excited right this minute, but this does mean big things for me. more money, more accountability, more control, more opportunities to boss people around.
and how wonderful i will look doing it, no?
