03042004 Entry: "new layout musings"

this is one of the pictures from Oregon. and i'll have you know that a delightful thing happened when i started playing with this image. a tiny woman with a teal green umbrella seemed to materialize in the picture. she was always there, i realize now, looking at the original, but she didn't pop out until the contrast was bumped up. it was like finding those orbs in your pictures, you know? the ones that they'll tell you are ghosts?

do ghosts carry umbrellas?

i didn't say goodbye yesterday. i said "Kentucky." it's not so bad as all that, really, but i feel an ache of disappointment because he is disappointed. still, the work has not begun, so there stands a chance that the trip won't be as horrible as it was feared.

i've landed another freelance job in the last week. i'm quite excited about it. i'm really starting to feel like my creativity switch has been flicked on by a great, benevolent hand. this doesn't change my feelings on religion, mind you. i have always believed that things happen for a reason. you are given challenges and scenarios and you are meant to learn from them. the things that annoy you today are teaching you for tomorrow. and, i believe that if you're on the right path, doors open and opportunities are handed to you.

The photograph is awsome, I love those moments when you take a photograph that is more than you thought it was.
Maybe not a ghost, but given the setting, a fairy comes to mind.
