i went out today in search of a new chair for the living room and came up empty-handed. i went to the thrift store i always go to and there was nothing good. just tattered stuff from estate sales. was there some kind of departure from common sense in the late 60's and early 70s's that made all upholstery designers create fabrics only featuring flowers as big as your head in a yellow-to-avocado color? i have never seen these flowers in nature.

i feel like i'm taking crazy pills!
