02092004 Entry: "well"

i don't think the Oregon pictures were really in the cards for this layout. i'll keep them in the wings for later. so goodbye to cherries, hello to...Bauhaus? yeah, i drew that mobile-type thing. i'm tired of using other people's art for my own site. seems silly. but CSS is your friend. well, actually, she should be your close friend. your friend with benefits. get in bed with CSS; she'll be good to you.

the living room is really shaping up. we got a new entertainment center and it looks a million times better. we also rearranged a bit, opening up the floor to ceiling window, and hung our newest bit of cool-kitsch: framed LPs. so far, we have some Led Zeppelin (IV and In Through The Out Door), The Who Who's Next, Madonna Like a Virgin, and a little something by SSgt Barry Sadler. when the camera is charged again, i'll take pictures. i actually came in from the gym tonight and, in my low blood sugar fog, i thought this was someone else's apartment. the cats are lounging on an ottoman belonging to a doomed chair. with our new, improved living room, there is no place for a well-loved, well-worn armchair. i think Broham wants it, though.

speaking of the cats, Carbon is a lot of cat these days. The Wolf weighed him yesterday and the numbers don't lie: 14 pounds of cat. Tungsten hovers around 11 pounds, so you could say there's more of Carbon to love.

all in all, it was a very domestic, satisfying weekend, leaving me only wanting more, more, more!

and yes, i have been listening to Kylie Minogue Fever in excess...but only because it's such good exercise bike music.
